Pyrgos Livanaton (Kynos)

Sherd from a pictorial krater

Accession Number

Lamia Archaeological Museum

Dakoronia 2006b: 27, fig. 4

Fragment from the lip of a krater or a deep bowl showing the aft part of a ship. Helmsman holding a steering-oar with a loop at its end. End of the sail yard visible above his head. Similarity with the first Kynos krater suggest the same painter and help to identity the sea-battle subject.
